Run with team m.r.a. running in honor of the little boy, eight years old, martin richards who lost his life during the bombings one year ago. let s take a look. i mostly remember just screaming, not wanting it to be real, wanting it to be some horribleç thing. but the horror is very real for the family of eight-year-old martin richards who lost his life in the boston marathon bombings last april. surely if there was anyone who deserved it less it would be a young child who was clearly just a loving, compassionate person. chris peterson is a friend of the family, although he never previously claimed himself to be a runner he s taken on the iconic 26.2 miles this year in martin s honor. for soç many people, what hit home is the fact that it could have been someone ....
They knew or someone they loved. days after last year s tragedy chris launched a campaign that raised over $1 million for the family s recovery. people started pouring money in, leaving notes they did so. some of this money that was raised through this has now gone to help form the m.r.a. foundation which is in martin s memory. over 250 people applied for the coveted spot to run the marathon as a member of team m.r.a. team m.r.a. is 100 runners strong. some are friends, teachers, coaches of martin. others are perfect strangers. i decided i wanted to run it and i wanted to run it for the martin richard foundation. i m happy to help out any wy)i can. hands down it will be the greatest athletic experience in my life, if not the greatest experience. a lot of time we think ....
