(Photo courtesy of Dawson County Fire and Emergency Services) On Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020, two members of the Dawson County Fire and Emergency Services Department became the first emergency responders in Dawson County to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. According to Dawson County Fire Chief and EMA Director Danny Thompson, Lt. Taylor Hulme and Division Chief Jason Dooley were the first fire department personnel to receive initial doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, but in the coming week, the county will begin sending more first responders to get the vaccine at the Lumpkin County Health Department. ....
