EINDHOVEN, Netherlands, Feb. 17, 2021 /PRNewswire/ The European Commission has decided to invest EUR 800.000+ in the Digital Toolbox through the Research and Innovation call on Urban Air Mobility Flying Forward 2020 (FF2020). The funds will be allocated for the refinement of the Digital Toolbox and the acceleration of its rollout in cities and regions throughout Europe.
The Digital Toolbox is an instrument that helps cities and regions in their journey to adapt their digital infrastructure. The High Tech Campus Eindhoven (HTCE) is the first field lab in which the Digital Toolbox is being tested, fine-tuned, and applied on Urban Air Mobility. ....

Flying Forward 2020, a consortium made up of 30 partners, is about to start developing a new urban air mobility (UAM) ecosystem for the European Union, focusing primarily on drones, informs LETA/BNS.
The project is consistent with the strategy for the digitalization of governments of EU member states and aims to make planning of the air mobility of cities a part of the spatial planning infrastructure of cities, Tartu Science Park, which takes part in the project, said in a press release. ....

High Tech Campus Eindhoven launches first field lab for autonomous drones in the European Union
EINDHOVEN, Netherlands, Dec. 18, 2020 /PRNewswire/ High Tech Campus Eindhoven (HTCE) initiates the rollout of a new generation of advanced autonomous aviation digital infrastructure. This will benefit the Urban Air Mobility (UAM) of cities in a safe, secure and regulated way. HTCE has appointed the SERENDIPITY B.V. to execute the technical coordination of its field lab.
With the rise of drone use, flying taxis and autonomous last-mile delivery, we need to prepare ourselves for the future, says Jan-Willem Neggers, HTCE Managing Director.
The field lab will be part of the Flying Forward 2020 consortium (FF2020) and ecosystem. FF2020 is a three-year collaborative innovation and research project recently funded by the European Commission.
