Estonia and Hungary celebrate centenary of diplomatic relations

Tomorrow 24 February, Estonia and Hungary celebrate 100 years since the day Hungary recognised the Republic of Estonia de jure, which laid the basis for formal diplomatic relations.
Foreign Minister Eva-Maria Liimets met with her Hungarian counterpart Péter Szijjártó in Brussels yesterday 22 February. The foreign ministers congratulated each other on a century of diplomatic relations and affirmed confirmed the continuation of close cooperation. Estonia and Hungary are allies and friends in NATO, the European Union and the Three Seas Initiative. We are also united by the Finno-Ugric kindred peoples’ movement and the protection and promotion of the languages and cultures of our peoples. ....
