Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has commissioned a third assembly line at its Vithalapur manufacturing plant, increasing its production capacity to 19.7 lakh units per annum. The plant produces scooter models for domestic and export markets, helping the company lead the scooterisation trend globally. HMSI has four manufacturing plants in India, including four in Manesar, Tapukara, Narsapura, and Vithalapur.
The third line will add an additional production capacity of 6.5 lakh scooter units, taking the total capacity of the facility to 19.7 lakh units per annum.
