Loveland man sentenced to prison in machete case

Francisco Saenz, 37, appeared before 8th Judicial District Court chief Judge Susan Blanco Tuesday morning where he entered a guilty plea to an additional count of criminal attempt to commit first-degree assault, a class 4 felony. Blanco said that while this charge could carry a prison sentence of two to eight years and a fine of up to $500,000, the plea agreement he was entering into came with a stipulated sentence of seven years in the Colorado Department of Corrections. ....
