The Helsinki Harp Festival of 2023 is set to resonate with themes of well-being and the musical legacy of both past and present harp composers. Alongside esteemed artists and premieres, attendees will have the opportunity to unwind during a sound bath concert accompanied by the soothing tones of the harp. The festival will feature the international Helsinki Harp Competition and the inaugural Finnish competition for amateur harpists.
The Stellenbosch International Chamber of Music Festival (SICMF) features Rebecca Tong, one of very few up-and-coming international women conductors to lead the Festival Symphony Orchestra in performance on Friday 7 and Sunday 9 July, respectively.

Based in Oulu and Haapajärvi, Finland, composers Sanna Ahvenjärvi and Tapio Lappalainen have been awarded the Teosto Prize for their work Water at the Teosto Award Ceremony, held at the Helsinki Music Centre on Thursday, 27th April 2023. Awarded since 2003, the Teosto Prize is one of the most prestigious artistic accolades in the Nordic countries. This year it is awarded for the 18th time.
