Melisron plans huge expansion for Ramat Aviv Mall The grandiose plan includes a new commercial floor and four towers for hotels, offices and apartments for rent. Israeli income producing real estate company Melisron Ltd. (TASE: MLSR) is promoting a grandiose plan to triple the size of the Ramat Aviv Mall and the surrounding complex in North Tel Aviv, The Tel Aviv Municipality has confirmed. The project to expand the Ramat Aviv Mall area includes adding a third floor for stores in the mall itself and building four more high-rise towers. According to the initial details, the first tower, which will have 15-floors for a hotel, will be built facing Einstein Street. Another 15-floor tower facing Brazil Street will be for residential apartments for sale and rent, while two 32-floor high-rises facing Brodetsky Street, will be built on the current car park outside of the mall. Israel s restaurateurs are teaming up to compete with food delivery platform Wolt. Globes has learned that a group of restaurateurs is joining forces to develop a food delivery app that will charge half the commission taken by Wolt and its local competitor Ten Bis. The initiative is spearheaded by a group of restaurateurs led by chef Yehonatan Borovich, owner of the M25 restaurant, which has branches in central Tel Aviv and Ramat Aviv. ....
Tel Aviv apartment rents reach record high Despite initially depressing the city s rental market, the Covid-19 crisis only had a fleeting impact. Tel Aviv apartment rents continue to rise as if the Covid-19 economic crisis hasn t happened. The only question that remains is whether the trend will reverse when government assistance to the unemployed dries up. According to Israel s Central Bureau of Statistics, the average 2.5-3 room apartment in Tel Aviv rented for NIS 5,766 per month in the third quarter of 2020, up 9.5% over the past three years, and up 1.2% over the past 12 months. Over the past year apartment rents in Tel Aviv Itself have risen faster than in the six large surrounding cities (Bat Yam 1.1%, Ramat Gan 0.9%, Holon 0.8%, Rishon Lezion 0.5% and Petah Tikva 0.3%). ....
