The Ragin’ Cajuns (14-12, 9-7 SBC) began their comeback as Tamera Johnson gave the Cajuns the lead with 3:46 remaining with back-to-back jumpers before Jaylyn James got a steal that led to a layup.
Marshall (17-6, 11-1 SBC) opened the game on a 17-2 run before Williams hit a 3-pointer and James hit a trio of free throws to cut the lead to 18-8 to close out the first frame.
