The Daily Telegram ADRIAN As recreational marijuana dispensaries continue to open in Adrian, city officials are discussing future limits on how many can be in the business districts. The discussion brought to the Adrian City Commission during its premeeting Monday by commissioner Brad Watson also included adding libraries to the list of places from which dispensaries would have to be a certain distance. Watson said multiple residents have come to him saying that the city may have reached its capacity without even having reached the limit of 10 licenses it allows in the city s business district. Watson, who said he is not opposed to the facilities doing business in and succeeding in the city, offered two proposals for amending the city’s ordinances. ....

Lowry store manager Addy Singh had no problem with it. Hey, do whatever you want. That s your side, he told North Coast. So the marijuana retailer did. Today, the west wall of Lowry s sports a new coat of teal paint. It s one way North Coast, and other dispensaries in the city, get involved and give back to the community. ....
Cannabis shops in Adrian: A positive impact Tyler Eagle In the more than two years since the City of Adrian began allowing recreational cannabis enterprises to set up shop within in its bounds, only one safety incident has been reported. Tamaris Henagan, the city’s attorney who helped fine-tune its current ordinance, says the presence of such businesses has become the norm for the municipality, despite pushback from a few citizens in the local industry’s early days. That pushback feels familiar to apprehension from some residents of Monroe Charter Township, who have expressed many concerns about too many cannabis shops opening up in the near future. ....
