San francisco. I just wanted to say thank you and to acknowledge the department of Emergency Management, the p. U. C. , public works, m. T. A. , fire and rec park. We met yesterday to review the citys response to the december 7th storm and recent flooding. As folks are probably aware, we had an out of nowhere, almost tornado, technically a micro burst, but it dumped a whole lot of water on the city in a short period of time on a saturday afternoon. So, due to that, we have been working on adjusting our plans to be more ready to respond in a no notice storm event, which is fairly unusual. However, due to the variability in weather and Climate Change and changes on the planet, we have to be ready for the unexpected. So, we are working on improving our situational awareness, operational response, and our public messaging regarding the storms when they do happen. Secondly, ....

Before i start that, i just wanted to say that since the last meeting, we have gone from summer to winter and from fires to floods, as is how it goes in San Francisco. Well, im the last at the table. But i have to say it doesnt strike me as fair to apply criteria that arent written to a project developer, and that if we want more out of the eastern plan, then we should be clear about that with additional guidelines. And if theyre consistent with the plan, which is what you said, staff, then im having a hard time understanding why i wouldnt support the staff recommendation. Yes, ill make the motion to approve. What are you moving . This matter has been called up together. Its usually one vote for both items. But if theres a preference to take up the matter separately, we can do that. Commissioner moore. So for the benefit of commissioner diamond not having participated in the many years that we are trying to struggle with impacts of the slightly wronglyscaled and conditioned development on the mission, this particular commission has taken a very, very specific stand on trying to avoid any further negative and decimating impacts on that. And our discus ....

I think what Climate Change is telling us is that we will be seeing these much more heavier rainfalls in shorter periods of time that are not really predictable. I mean there may not be a model for it. So it seems that we need to figure out some preparation, both from the communications perspective, but also from resource allocation so you guys arent caught off guard. We notice that its not just the intensity, but the sales are hitting us from different angles. The prediction is for San Francisco in general, it may say 0. 25 at city hall. But a sale may come at other over an inch. We have a plan to do better. Thanks, we love to learn more. Thank you so much for your work. Thank you. Any

Issues, and some goes to all the clear evidence shows that vulnerable communities are the most likely to suffer the most after a major disaster and have the most difficulty recovering. So we want to make sure we have that in there. We create these vulnerability and consequence profiles around each of the assets as theyre exposed to the disasters. This is a big part of our report. This is just the appendix of the report. Its around 300 to 400 pages. This shows an example of susceptible for Critical Response facilities so these will be fire stations, police stations, and those types of things. You can see the zones in pink on this graph and understanding which one are there and therefore are at risk. Where do we run our critical emergency routes, those types of things.
