You calling if. we thought it was an important story to tell down there in st. pete. appreciate it. thank you. i want to take you back to libya where every indication is that a noose is beginning to tighten around the capital city of tripoli and around the country s long time leader, moammar gadhafi. joining me now from new york is fareed zakh kakhar arzakhar . this is from benghazi. thousands of libyans, this is the kind of picture you stop and marvel at because they re rising up against gadhafi. as you look at this, fareed, what are your thoughts? just curious. this is absolutely historic moment for libya. it s a historic moment for the middle east. but for the libyans, this is really an extraordinary deliverance. gadhafi is seen as a kind of mad comical character in the west but has run one of the truly
Drugs. what? very different from what we ve been seen. would there be a battle for triply? who would that battle be between? and what scenario give me a scenario under which gadhafi would be forced to flee libya? reporter: most people believe that the scenario would be that, either, a, the army simply drops him like a hot potato, because he is such a liability for the country, or that the tribes that currently support him will pull away and come over to the side of the anti-gadhafi forces. what s interesting, brooke, we were speaking with some of the leaders of the ad hoc government in benghazi, and they told me they are in contact with leaders of gadhafi s tribe, and they re trying to convince them there s
