Tom it is. There are a lot of affects from the cold. The water main break is one of the worst. This is on New Hampshire avenue. So as you can imagine its wreaking havoc on traffic. I just got an update. Good news. They have made progress. It wont last forever but it will last through the evening rush hour. Thanks to the water main break the traffic was bad even before rush hour started. Bad. Really bad. How bad was the traffic you were in . Bad. Back like 20 minutes. That is right. 20 minutes from the beltway, which you could see less than a quarter mile away. Everything had to merge to one lane. Reporter police take a stabbing suspect into custody after he allegedly barricaded himself inside his northeast washington apartment for several hou hours. All the officers did a phenomenal job, took their time, did everything slowly, methodically, and made sure that none of the citizens were injured and made sure that our suspect wasnt injured as well. Police say the suspect allegedly stabbed someone, then ran into the apartment and refused to come out. Police tried to negotiate with him. 5 1 2 hours later they made the arrest.
