Off-duty Pentagon police officer is indicted on two counts of murder in Maryland

A Pentagon police officer accused of shooting at three men in a Maryland parking lot as they drove away was indicted on two counts of murder and a single count of attempted murder, according to Montgomery County Circuit Court records made public Friday.
The grand jury also indicted David Hall Dixon, 40, on assault counts for an unrelated incident last year when he allegedly pointed a shotgun and discharged pepper spray at a homeless woman who had come into the lobby of his condominium building. Taken together, all of the charges filed Thursday expose Dixon, who was off duty at the time of the incidents, to a possible sentence topping 200 years. ....

TAKOMA PARK, Md. Pentagon Force Protection Agency officer David Hall Dixon now faces multiple additional charges for a separate alleged altercation that does not involve the two people he killed in a Takoma Park shooting last Wednesday. 
The additional charges for first degree assault, second degree assault and use of a firearm in a felony or violent crime comes after Dixon confronted a homeless woman with pepper spray and a shotgun in the Takoma Overlook Condominium complex after she allegedly tried to assault him, according to Takoma Park Police.  ....

Two people suspected of breaking into a car in Takoma Park, Maryland, died after an off-duty Pentagon police officer shot them multiple times. 
The Takoma Park Police Department’s (TKPD) press release stated they received reports that gunfire was heard at the Takoma Overlook Condominium parking lot area in the 7300 block of New Hampshire Avenue Wednesday at around 5 a.m.
An off-duty Pentagon police officer reportedly told the responding officers that he saw two people attempting to break into a car. When confronted, the suspects immediately got into the vehicle and drove away. That s when the off-duty Pentagon police officer fired his service weapon and shot at them multiple times, police said, according to� ....

WASHINGTON  Two people died after an off-duty Pentagon Force Protection Agency officer fired his gun at the scene of an attempted car break-in Wednesday morning, officials said, marking the second time an off-duty officer from the department has been involved in a shooting in the District of Columbia area in recent weeks.
Just after 5 a.m., Takoma Park police officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the parking lot area of the Takoma Overlook Condominium, officials said.
After arriving, officers were approached by the off-duty officer, who said he had seen what he thought was a car being broken into, Takoma Park officials said in a news release. ....
