Bengaluru, March 10 : Apple s iPhone contract manufacturer Wistron Corporation of Taiwan resumed operations at its mobile plant in Karnataka s Kolar town, state Industries Minister Jagadish Shettar said on Wednesday. Wistron resumed operations at its Kolar plant after it remained shut since December 12 following a violent attack on its facility by a section of its staff over delayed payments and longer shifts, Shettar told reporters at Narasapura industrial area, about 70km east of Bengaluru.

Bengaluru, Feb 18 : Apple’s i-phone maker Wistron Corporation would soon resume production at its plant in Karnataka’s Kolar district, state Industries Minister Jagadish Shettar said on Thursday.
“Wistron is set to resume production in the next few days at the Narasapura industrial area in Kolar,” he said, after Wistron’s Indian subsidiary’s Managing Director Sudipto Gupta met him at the Secretariat, a statement said.
The plant has been shut since December 12 after hundreds of its employees turned violent and damaged its machinery over alleged delay in paying them salaries and making them work on longer shifts without adequate compensation.

Bengaluru, Dec 28 (IANS): Riot-hit Apple s iPhone maker Wistron Corporation plant in Karnataka s Kolar district would resume production soon, said state Labour Minister Shivaram Hebbar on Sunday. Taiwan s Wistron factory in Kolar s Narasapura industrial area will be fully operation and ready to resume production in the next 20 days, Hebbar told reporters in Kannada after visiting the plant that was damaged on December 12 when hundreds of its workers turned violent for delayed wages and longer shifts.
Hebbar met the company s management and officials for a first-hand account of the violent incident in its plant and reasons behind the workers rampage.
