start remote because of quarantines. well it is hard to know when it is we re going to have a vaccine available for children less than 12. but we specertainly need it. and we need it before late fall and heading into winter. we have the delta variant and two is winter which is allowing for more easy spread of this virus and three, i think most importantly you re going to have a relatively unvaccinated or undervaccinated group less than 12 and basically an undervaccinated group between 12 and 17 and only about 35% in the age group who can be vaccinated have been vaccinated. let me ask you about this. because we do have other countries that have faced the delta variant before us. and i don t want to over or underestimate, but if you look at u.k., they have tailed off. can we learn anything from that. is that something that we might be able to expect here as well?
this is the big push to get more people vaccinated so we can end this pandemic and move on. john: one of the reasons why he s making this push is because vaccination rates have dropped off precipitously. 63% of americans have gotten one shot of the vaccine and the president wants to get it to 70% by the fourth of july. local cbs is doing these now. there is not even a lineup for people to get vaccines. so you can see the way things have tailed off. sandra: joining us, professor of medicine and fox news contributor dr. marc siegel. you have noticed as well, a trend as well. but give us more thoughts on this push to get more people vaccinated, especially now that we consider we are moving out of this. the big news in new york city yesterday was the fact that we finally had one day where there was not a single covid death in his town. that is a big deal. and a lot of that, sandra, the vast majority of people over the age of 65 have been
incident. michael, if these pingers turn out to be something else, then where do we go from here? look, don, an investigation has lasted over 31 days now. this is all we ve got. you know, we ve heard a lot of reasons to why it couldn t be, and that s fair game, but when we spoke to commander william marks yesterday, we were interested in the way that this would be located once they have the signal. one of the things that fascinated me was as they were tracking along the towline, especially for the 2 hours and 20 minutes, there was an increase in amplitude of the signal, which meant that they were getting closer, and then it tailed off. which means, or implies, that the signal was geolocated and stationary. so for me, that s a positive. and i think the next couple of days will be critical, for all the reasons that we ve talked about, the fact that the batteries may have died. if they have died, then that s a new conversation. but if they do pick up the signal, it s going to take two t
