Nashville, august, 1920. What was it like . Oh, it was bedlam. This is a sleepy Southern City in the middle of sister. The legislature is usually in resource. It is a time when you drink tea and sit on your porch and nashville became the center of the political universe of the United States for several weeks in the summer of 1920 because tennessee might be the last and deciding state to ratify the 19th amendment and if the Tennessee Legislature did, then women across the country, in every state, in every election for the first time, all women, would have the right to vote.
