400 customer services trainees eyed in TESDA-SM partnership

MANILA-The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) targets to provide enterprise-based training to 400 Customer Services NC II trainees next year through its partnership with the SM Foundation, Inc. (SMFI), Secretary Isidro Lapena said on Friday. TESDA-Region III inked an agreement with SMFI last November 19 for the apprenticeship program. "We are looking forward to expand this to other regions and to implement it nationwide. But for now, our focus is on this new TESDA Region III-SMFI partnership," Lapena told the Philippine News Agency. He said training immediately started on the same day of the signing of the agreement.
