Syracuse, N.Y. The developer of a proposed 635-bed student-housing project near Syracuse University that critics say is too big and out of character with the neighborhood has withdrawn its plans but says it will file new ones soon.
In a letter to the Syracuse Zoning Board of Appeals, an attorney for Landmark Properties said the company was withdrawing its request for area variances “at this time.” ....
