Old New Borrowed Blue with musician Airi Ingram

Before calling Darwin home, musician Airi Ingram grew up in Papua New Guinea learning the traditions of his culture from his grandfathers.
His ancestral home was a drumming village and that tradition would shape Airi’s passion and become his profession.
Airi, also known as Airileke, has performed with the likes of Yothu Yindi, Warumpi Band and Sampa the Great; and he now makes music with Drum Drum and Sorong Samarai.
In 2014 he moved back to Papua New Guinea to direct the opening ceremony of the 2015 Pacific Games.
