Doug Davie has filed to run for the District 3 county Commissioner seat. Davie is currently a Eureka City Council member. Davie will be opposed by incumbent Josh Letcher, who has held the seat since he was elected in 2018 and also said he will soon file to run.
The bill, which is expected to arrive in February or March, is the result of 49 Montana counties losing a battle with the state over how many mills it could levy.
