Homeless Ad Hoc Committee considering emergency response to possible sanctioned campground
Chico Mayor Andrew Coolidge and councilmembers Scott Huber and Deepika Tandon held their fourth Ad Hoc committee gathering response from first responders about how they can help the campground and those within it.

CHICO, Calif. - The city of Chico continues to look into the rules surrounding sanctioned campgrounds within the city if the homeless decide to stay there, as well as providing city services like police and fire to them.
Some of the challenges the committee is facing are how to provide those basic services like fire or police response at a sanctioned campground, and the rules that would need to be enforced within one.
