The case was among a number of drug- and alcohol-related felony filings April 9 by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office. Robert E. Hodges, 47, of Alton, was charged with unlawful possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a Class X felony. The case was presented by the Alton Police Department. According to court documents, on April 9 Hodges allegedly was found to be in possession of between 15-100 grams of methamphetamine with intent to deliver. ....

Giovanni J. Conejo, 27, of Granite City, was charged April 6 with armed violence and unlawful cannabis trafficking, both Class X felonies; and unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, both Class 1 felonies. The case was presented by the Granite City Police Department. According to court documents, on April 5, Conejo allegedly was found to be in possession of more than 2,500 grams of cannabis with the intent to deliver; more than one gram of cocaine with intent to deliver; and a Taurus PT3 9 mm handgun while committing the other felonies. ....
