OC health officials to hold Jan. 14 town hall on Asian American, Pacific Islander communities and COVID-19 vaccine [The Orange County Register]
Jan. 14 Orange County health care officials and providers will hold a virtual town hall at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, to address concerns in the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities about COVID-19 vaccine safety and distribution plans.
Addressing those concerns is considered vital to saving lives, given the disproportionately high rates of coronavirus infections and COVID-19 deaths that have taken place in Asian American and Pacific Islander populations.
The town hall can be accessed in five languages Chinese, Vietnamese, Khmer/Cambodian, Korean and Tongan and will stream live from 6-7:30 p.m. on Facebook via two venues: the Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance (OCAPICA) at facebook.com/OCAPICA and the UCI Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center at facebook. ....
