Thailand reports 1,940 new Covid-19 case as death toll hits record number - 21 deaths on Sunday (May 2)

BANGKOK, May 2 (The Nation Thailand/ANN): Thailand on Sunday reported 1,940 new Covid-19 cases and 21 more fatalities, according to the country s Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA).
The 21 death total deaths was the highest daily number of fatalities since the pandemic began.
Of the new infections, 1,930 were domestic transmissions and 10 others were imported, CCSA spokeswoman Apisamai Srirangsan told a press conference.
The capital city Bangkok registered the highest number of new infections with 539 cases, followed by 276 cases in Nonthaburi and 145 cases in Samut Prakan, according to Apisamai. ....
