Diphu Bokajan Block Congress Committee (Bokajan BCC) held a press meets at Bokajan on Saturday to protest against the ruling BJP government at the Centre for disqualification of its leader Rahul Gandhi from Lok Sabha. “The disqualification is nothing but to suppress Gandhi and his family,” Bokajan BCC alleged. Secretary, Karbi Anglong District Congress Committee (KADCC), Surendra Singnar said, “With the slogan, ‘Save Democracy, save Constitution’ we are protesting against the BJP government for its suppressive and dictatorship way of ruling the country. By disqualifying Rahul Gandhi from Lok Sabha the BJP government is trying to ruin Gandhi. It is also suppressing the Congress,” Singnar said. He also said India is a democratic country, where every citizen has the right to speak and demonstrate, but the BJP is ruling the country in a dictatorial style.
