I think that the aggressive box press probably helps to accentuate this feature as the cigar provides four defined panels. The aroma from the wrapper is medium-full and smells like many other AGNAORSA-made cigars before it. There’s a dominant mixture of red pepper and cocoa on top of some barnyard and acidity. The covered foot is a bit milder and provides leather, barnyard, sweet cocoa, creaminess and earthiness. Unlike the wrapper, the aroma from the foot is rather balanced. Cold draws have chocolate, creaminess, an artificial lime flavor, and some crackers. ....

The new line is expected to ship to retailers in February. The Rare Leaf Reserve line was created to make a regular production line of cigars made from low-yield tobaccos grown on specific farms owned by Aganorsa. The cigars are Nicaraguan puros, which consist of a wrapper grown in Jalapa, a pair of Criollo ‘98 binders from two different farms in Estelí and a filler blend that is predominantly Criollo ’98, with a little Corojo ’99 also added to the mix. ....
