House Gets New Deputy Speaker, Rep. Koffa Wins CPP Candidate With 45 Votes
After nearly hours of deliberation by members of the House of Representatives to elect new Deputy Speaker for the House replacing Bong County Representative Prince Moye who prior to serving as Deputy Speaker won the County Senatorial seat, Grand Kru County District 2 Representative , Jonathan Fonati Koffa has won the Deputy Speakership.
Representative Koffa won Collaborating Political Parties (CPP) Rep. Clarence Massaquoi  with 45 votes, he Massaquoi receiving 20 votes.
Speaking to reporters after the election, Rep. Koffa that he strongly believes that his unique skill set of experience and competence would greatly help in accelerating the legislative rebranding which was promised at the beginning of the 54th Legislature in 2018. ....

MONROVIA – The House of Representatives has overwhelmingly elected Rep. J. Fonati Koffa as the next Deputy Speaker.
Rep. Koffa was elected to the position on Tuesday with 45 votes. Rep. Clarence Massaquoi who was nominated by the Collaborating Parties Legislative Caucus (CPP) came next with 20 votes.
Rep. Koffa who represents Grand Kru County, District 2, says he strongly believes that his unique skill set of experience and competence would greatly help in accelerating the legislative rebranding which was promised at the beginning of the 54 ....

MONROVIA – The chairman of the Judiciary Committee of the House of Representatives, Rep. Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa is said to be in consultations on whether to join the race for the Deputy Speaker’s seat as consultations for the second leadership position intensified.
The Grand Kru County District #2 Representative has been petitioned by his colleagues to join six other Representatives eyeing the Deputy Speaker position but has since launched “consultations” on the prudency of his participation in the battle. ....
