Police arrest pair at Pullman Hotel, South Australia
Police have arrested two men after they allegedly failed to comply with Emergency Management Act Directions at the Pullman Hotel.
Just after 2pm today (Wednesday 4 August), police had cause to speak to the men after they failed to remain within their rooms and were not wearing a mask.
The pair arrived today as prohibited travellers on a flight from Melbourne and were required to comply with Supervised Quarantine Directions.
A 19-year-old and a 21-year-old, both from Victoria, have been charged with failing to comply with a direction.
They have been refused bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow. ....

Updates have been made to the Supervised Quarantine and Residential Aged Care Facilities Directions in South Australia. Changes to both of these Directions are minor administrative changes which do not significantly impact the way in which South Australia is currently operating.
Supervised Quarantine No 8
The Emergency Management (Supervised Quarantine No 8) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 comes into effect at 12.01am on Saturday 24 April 2021.

This Direction has been updated to clarify that a person directed to undertake supervised quarantine at a quarantine facility must undergo testing requirements which are imposed by Supervised Quarantine Direction and not the Cross Border Travel General Direction. ....

The State Coordinator and Police Commissioner Grant Stevens today (18 December 2020) announced people who have travelled to South Australia from particular areas in New South Wales are required to immediately self-quarantine for 14 days and seek COVID-19 testing.
In response to the recent New South Wales outbreak, three COVID-19 Directions in South Australia have been updated. The updated Directions are; Cross Border Travel No 23, Residential Aged Care No 18 and Supervised Quarantine No 2.
Cross Border Travel Direction No 23
The Cross Border No 23 Direction came into effect as of 7.56pm Friday 18 December 2020.

New COVID-19 Direction 2020- Supervised Quarantine, South Australia

An operator of a Medi-hotel must:
Adopt a Testing Compliance Plan which requires employees and contractors to notify the operators of their COVID-19 test;
Keep records of information given to them in relation to the COVID-19 tests;
Provide these records to an authorised officer on request; and
Urgently report any instance of non-compliance to an authorised officer.
The Direction also applies to a person undertaking supervised quarantine in a medi-hotel room, who must:
Not leave the room except in an emergency situation;
Take reasonable steps to ensure no other person enters the room unless in an emergency; ensure items are not shared with any other person undertaking quarantine; ....
