Emirates plans to introduce premium economy services on its Mumbai and Bengaluru flights this month in a bid to attract affluent consumers in India. The premium economy cabin on the Airbus A380 jets will feature 56 cream-colored seats in a 2-4-2 configuration. Emirates move comes as it faces competition from Air India, which has recently introduced premium economy on certain flights to the US.
