FAIRFIELD – Unlike last year, Fairfield Senior High School’s Class of 2021 will have a prom.
They will get to visit their former elementary schools. Seniors will also have an in-person graduation at the Cintas Center at Xavier University.
But none of the events will look like they did in past years due to COVID-19 restrictions.
“The seniors didn’t have anything – no junior prom, no homecoming,’’ said Principal Bill Rice. “We’re trying to give them some normalcy through a balance of traditional and being safe.”
Senior prom
This weekend’s prom is being held in the high school’s arena instead of an outside venue. There will be 347 attendees – seniors only and their guests from within the district. Masks must be worn and formal attire is required.
