Christian Longomba to be buried in US

Following his demise last Saturday, Christian, the one-half of the Longombas music duo, will be buried tomorrow, March 18, in California, US.
According to family sources, the late singer will be rested in a short ceremony that will be attended by family members and close friends. A number of music industry players flew to the US today to attend the burial;

“I will be attending the burial. The family has been very close to me and it is only reasonable that I go and give my brother a good send-off,” J Blessing told

The Kenyan music industry is mourning the demise of Christian Longomba, the one half of the Longombas singing duo - which ruled the Kenyan music scene years gone. Christian, who impacted the Kenyan showbiz scene together with his twin brother Lovi Longomba, died on Saturday after a long struggle with brain tumour.
According to his sister Jessy Jones, Christian, 37, who had been in and out of hospital, died in Los Angeles, US. Lovi also took to social media to mourn his brother, saying: “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”
His death was confirmed by his twin brother Lovy. The duo is best remembered for various hit songs such as ‘Dondosa’, ‘Makofi’, ‘Shikamoo’, ‘Vuta Pumz’.
“Christian Hulu Longomba made his transition to heaven Saturday morning in Los Angeles, California after a long-suffered illness. Christian was well-loved and we celebrated his gifts and talents that he shared with the entire world.” Stated, Lovy, now a pastor in Los Angeles.
Christian had been unwell since 2015 when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent his first surgery in the United States which was successful.
After the surgery which he admitted doctors told him there was no guarantee he would survive Christian began his rehabilitation, only for the tumor to recur again confining him in hospital for several months.
