Just consider the following set of statistics: During the ‘first wave’, it took 15 days for the number of positive cases in India to go up from 200,000 to 300,000. In the ‘second wave’, the same figures were reached in just eight days. And, while it took 16 days for the number of positive cases to rise from 600,000 to 700,000 during the ‘first wave’, in case of the ‘second wave’, the same numbers have been reached in only three days!
