After a 12-week closure, the Sunshine Rescue Mission in Flagstaff’s Southside reopened Thursday, again providing about 50 beds each night and two meals a day to unsheltered Flagstaff residents.
Sunshine Rescue Mission CEO Kathie Knapp told the Arizona Daily Sun that the closure will not be permanent, but that staffing shortages had forced the mission to close on Wednesday.
