Compare Greater Cleveland, Akron property tax rates, and learn why they have changed this year: That's Rich!

Compare Greater Cleveland, Akron property tax rates, and learn why they have changed this year: That’s Rich! Rich Exner, cleveland.com CLEVELAND, Ohio - New or increased taxes voters approved months ago are just now showing up in tax bills across the region, though for the most part the rates for the 2021 bills are up less than $100 a year per $100,000 of home value. Popular Searches The biggest exceptions are where voters approved sizable school levies during last year’s primary and general elections - the biggest of which were in Fairview Park, Euclid and Olmsted Falls. On the flip side, rates are down across Geauga and Summit counties. But that’s at least a little deceiving. Geauga and Summit counties did their required once-every-three-year adjustment of property values during 2020. When property values go up, the rates for many of the individual taxes that make up the bill have to be reduced to collect about the same amount.
