SIALKOT: PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Saturday said that this is not an election, it is a war, a war which Nawaz Sharif has begun against those who stole the people’s votes.
She said that Feb 19 (By-polls) would be the last day to get rid of the obedient.
Her remarks came as she addressed a PML-N campaign rally for by-elections in the NA-75 constituency in Sialkot s Daska tehsil.
The PML-N vice president, throughout her speech, made a case against the incumbent government as PTI s Usman Dar is also contesting the seat and sought to remind people of the PML-N s services in Punjab.

The PML-N vice president, throughout her speech, made a case against the incumbent government and sought to remind people of the PML-N s services in Punjab.
In severe criticism of the government and in particular Prime Minister Imran Khan, she said that when people complain of inflation he says reduce your expenses .

Dawn over the phone that the PPP had decided to withdraw its candidates from both the constituencies in favour of PML-N nominees over the latter’s support to PPP candidates in Sindh as per an understanding between the parties.

The opposition parties under the umbrella of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) have started cooperating with each other in the by-elections.
As part of the understanding, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidates for the by-polls in NA-75 Daska (Sialkot) and PP-51 Wazirabad (Gujranwala) have withdrawn their nomination papers in favour of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) nominees in both the constituencies.
Before that, the PML-N announced that it would field candidates in the by-elections in Sindh against the PPP cardholders.
LAHORE: The PML-N and PPP have awarded tickets to their respective candidates for two by-poll seats in Punjab, showing that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) member parties are finding it difficult to reach a consensus to contest next month’s by-elections jointly.
According to PML-N Punjab President Rana Sanaullah, the party awarded tickets to Noshin Iftikhar and Talat Manzoor Cheema for NA-75 and PP-51, respectively. He said both Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif had approved these nominees.
The PPP has awarded tickets to Sumera Sahi and Ijaz Suma for NA-75 and PP-51.
Earlier, PML-N leaders, especially Maryam Nawaz and Ahsan Iqbal, had said that the PDM’s constituent parties would try to contest the by-polls jointly.
