Jalpaiguri (West Bengal) [India], January 20 (ANI): Due to reduced visibility caused by fog, 13 people were killed in an accident at Dhupguri city in Jalpaiguri district in West Bengal on Tuesday night. As many as 18 people also sustained injuries in the accident.

At least 14 people died in an accident in Dhupguri city of Jalpaiguri district in West Bengal on Tuesday night. The accident occurred due to reduced visibility caused due to fog. The injured have been admitted to a hospital. As many as 18 people also sustained injuries in the accident. A vehicle collided head-on with a boulder loaded truck whose driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the divider and slipped towards its right side. Two other vehicles coming from the wrong side collided into the body of the truck due to which boulders loaded in the vehicle fell on them. Another small lorry in front of the truck was also damaged. In all, four vehicles got damaged, Sumant Roy, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Jalpaiguri said.

JALPAIGURI: Fourteen people were feared dead and several others were injured when a boulder-laden truck overturned and fell on three small vehicles near Jaldhaka Bridge at Dhupguri in Jalpaiguri late on Tuesday.
Sources said the truck lost control, hit several vehicles and overturned on the three vehicles, in which the victims were travelling. Police and rescue teams reached the spot. Police suspected several more people could be seriously injured.

Kolkata: In a tragic incident, 14 people, including four children, died in an accident in Dhupguri city of Jalpaiguri district in West Bengal on Tuesday night. The unfortunate accident happened due to reduced visibility caused due to fog. Around 10 people were injured in the accident and have been admitted to Jalpaiguri Super Speciality Hospital.
The accident occurred in Jaldhaka area in Dhupguri block due to a collision between a stone-laden truck and three vehicles. The 14 deceased, including four children, were coming back from a marriage party in the three vehicles.
