.. that s the function of the president s unrelenting commitment and the first lady and dr. biden and so many actors who have stepped to the plate. we have made so much progress because so many more veterans have gotten the opportunity to bring their skills and talent to the work place and countless more employers are benefiting from it. i like to think of us as match.com at the department of labor. we match job seekers who want to punch their ticket to the middle class with businesses who want to grow their business. in the dataset recession, director, center for a job seekers are at least 1.4 for every job opening. that s good news for veterans. that s good news for every job seeker. every year our american job centers, where match.com is an action, 2500 american job centers with about 14 million people, including roughly 1 million veterans in the services. we help transition service members and spouses prepare for civilian life through the transition assist
been done a fair job of having the questions move along. eo, welcome back. now david cameron, it s his turn to face our studio audience. thank you for coming. welcome too, mr. cameron. we ll go to our first question super robert newman. mr. cameron, you and the camp seem to be convinced if the britain leaves the eu, we ll be plunged into recession. six months ago you told cbi britain could survive outside the eu. why are you so adamant about a meltdown if we decide to leave. we can certainly survive. the question is, how do we thrive? how do we do best? for our children and our grandchildren. that to me is what this debate is about. i think what s so unique about it is the extraordinary consensus, nine out of the ten economists, the governor of the bank of england, international monetary fund all saying they believe we would suffer to a hit to jobs, what that means for people is lower living standards, potential lower wage, higher prices from our shops and yes, poten
of it. we are driving hard to achieve all the goals of opening doors, including fully achieving the goal of ending veteran homelessness. and we re taking the lessons learned from the progress on veteran homelessness to help drive greater progress on ending all homelessness. particularly those of us at usich who work out in the communities with all of you. so, for those of you who don t know usich or me very well, for that matter, let me just explain. the u.s. inner agency council on homelessness is made up of 19 federal agencies that are committed to and are relentlessly working towards the goals of opening doors. agencies like the department of veterans affairs and the department of labor along with hud, hhs and the department of education. our shared goals to end homelessness among veterans, among families, among youth, and among those experiencing chronic homelessness and among all americans. i have 17 colleagues at usich. we re a small but mighty federal agency. so, some
there is still so much work to be done. we are making a big commitment and we are excited to partner with all of you in that effort. take a look at this video.
