Since 2019, Manipal Institute of Nephrology, Urology and Robotic Surgery across 12 Centres of Manipal Hospitals South has conducted a total of 741 kidney transplants, 60 ABO incompatible transplants, 22 paediatric transplants, 16 kidney transplants and five dual organ transplants so far. The team consists of 25 nephrologists and 35 urologists. More than 14,000 dialysis are conducted per month. Along with this, there are 35 ambulances for emergency services.

The primary objective behind this launch is to ensure that every critical patient receives timely assistance within the crucial “Golden Hour.” Patients or their caregivers can effortlessly scan these QR codes using Android and iOS devices. iOS users can directly access the code through their device’s camera, while Android users can use the Google Lens App for this purpose. The strategically placed QR codes near institution gates, corporate offices, school buses, and construction helmets enable easy access to medical assistance, allowing individuals to save the QR code for future use.
