In a genius effort to save this beloved industry, 70 sugar shack owners got together and launched, in February, Ma cabane à la maison. The idea was simple: allow people to order online from one of the participating sugar shacks and have the cabane à sucre experience at home. Last week, it was revealed that 110,000 kits had been sold, representing 500,000 meals. Ma cabane à la maison injected more than $11 million into Quebec regional economies and helped save the sugar shack industry. We did it!
