RAJSHAHI, May 10, 2021 (BSS)- Integrated participatory efforts of all government and non-government entities concerned have become crucial to combat the abuses of drugs along with its illicit trading and trafficking.
There is no alternative to make all the existing movements and efforts of preventing drug abuse effective and fruitful to protect the young generation from further degradation.
Administrative officials and development activists came up with the observations while addressing a virtual roundtable meeting with media personnel yesterday.
Light House Consortium, Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM), Ashakta Punarbashan Sangstha (APOSH) and Nari O Shishu Kalyan Society (NSKS) jointly organised the meeting under ‘Drug Abuse Resistance and Understanding – DARAU’ project and Promoting Advocacy and Rights (PAR). ....

RAJSHAHI, April 8, 2021 (BSS)- Creation of awareness among the public in general has become crucial to check the spread of Covid-19 and abuse of drugs along with its illicit trafficking and trades.
Full-length support of public representatives and communities can be the best ways of making sure containing the pandemic side by side with abuses of drugs through generating mass-awareness.
Public representatives and development activists came up with the observations while addressing a virtual dialogue styled “Corona and Drugs Abuses: Where is the destination”.
Light House hosted the dialogue through an online streamyard platform on Wednesday evening under the ‘Drug Abuse Resistance and Understanding- DARAU’ project. ....

RAJSHAHI, Jan 20, 2021 (BSS) – Some 85 transgender people were given food support aimed at mitigating their livelihood related crisis being caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic situation.
Each of them was given a food package containing 12 kilograms of rice, three kilograms of potato and two kilograms of pulse, edible oil, salt and onion to make sure their one month’s meal.
Light House Consortium in association with German Doctors and ICDDR, B gave the food support adjacent to Rajpara Police Station in Rajshahi city today through maintaining social distancing and other health safety guidelines amid the Covid-19 pandemic. ....
