A MAN has admitted manslaughter following a fatal one-punch assault in Bournemouth town centre. Carl Stuart Woolley, aged 33, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter charge at Bournemouth Crown Court on Tuesday, December 22. The charges relates to an incident that unfolded on Sunday, September 13, at the entrance to The Avenue car park at the junction of Avenue Road and Norwich Avenue at The Triangle. Dorset Police received reports of an assault that night, around 10pm, and found 59-year-old local man Stephen Jeffries with a life-threatening head injury. He was taken to hospital for treatment, but died two days later of his injuries.
