Fresno officials, law enforcement crack down on illegal street racing

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) Fresno Police Chief Paco Balderrama said on Tuesday his officers are cracking down on illegal street racing in Fresno, and a new multi-agency operation is already showing some progress.
The police chief said the department had received 150 complaints of street racing across the city so far this year. Most of those complaints were reported in the north side of Fresno.
Fresno City Councilmember Mike Karbassi, who represents northwest Fresno, said city leaders don t want to see illegal street racing anymore. He called racing street violence that is taking innocent lives. ....
