Only severe weather but snow. snow across the rockies and the northern plains. satellite radar imagery right now fairly quiet. we have a system offshore that will bring rain along the gulf coast. we have a low pressure system across the great lakes, bringing some light rain and/or light snow, and then several storms systems moving in from the northwest that are going to move into the central u.s. and bring us the threat for more strong storms. unfortunately you can see some of that rain and snow moving into the northern rockies and eventually into the northern plains tonight for several inches of snow, so as we go through sunday, you can see we re seeing 6 to 12 inches, maybe even higher amounts. the potential for severe weather across the central u.s. and waiting in the wings, another low pressure that s going to bring more snow to the central rockies including you in denver where temperatures will drop some 30 degrees over the next couple of days. so a severe threat starting tomorrow ....

Maria molina continues in the fox extreme weather center. reporter: good to see you. yeah, unfortunately, storms systems are pulling in very warm, moist air on the eastern side of it, helping to fire up the showers and thunderstorms. you can see them stretching across the north central, all the way into parts of texas. we do have some ongoing severe weather. we had one torinatedo warning in southwestern minnesota. that has expired. so we are continuing to see the tornado warnings firing up because we are seeing rotation with the thunderstorms and possible tornadoes on the ground. 122 tornadoes were reported yesterday from the storm system, stretching across parts of kansas, nebraska and portions of oklahoma. we are seeing that risk still today. we have a brand-new tornado watch in southern parts of minnesota and northern portions of iowa and western parts of wisconsin. this is the area we are going to be watching very closely today because we do have a moderate risk issued by the sto ....

Time, including portion of the florida panhandle and another tornado watch that includes portions of mobile, all the way down south of new orleans. that one is in effect until midnight tonight. we will continue to track these storms systems as we do push eastward. right now no tornado warns which is some good news. however there are a number of severe thunderstorm warnings and those are the ones highlighted in yellow. we could see damaging wind gusts, 60, 70 miles an hour and that is dangerous as well. everyone stay alert out here and the storm system will continue to head eastward. as we head into tomorrow we have another new threat for severe weather. this will be earlier this the day across portion of south carolina and into southeastern georgia and all the way down into central parts of florida, including the city of orlando. large hail, damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadoes will be the concerns again. another aspect of this storm system is that it has a lot of moisture. so lo ....
