Galesburg Parks and Recreation limited services resuming under Tier 1 mitigations

GALESBURG As Region 2 moves from Tier 2 Mitigation to Tier 1 Mitigation, Galesburg Parks & Recreation Department will resume limited services at the following facilities: Hawthorne Gym, Hawthorne Pool, Lake Storey Pavilion, Lakeside Nature Center, and Lakeside Recreation Facility.
Program-specific plans will be updated and made available to the general public later this week. At all locations, masks, temperature checks, COVID waivers and screenings will continue to be required. Disinfection will be done regularly and reduced capacity will be enforced.

Beginning January 19, 2021, rentals will resume at Hawthorne Gym. Any sports may have inter-team scrimmages at this time. Any competitive play must be approved by the office a minimum of two business days ahead of time. All users must agree to follow current sport-specif
