Giant Food celebrated the grand opening of its newest store in Maryland with a grand-opening celebration Aug. 5 at 12028 Cherry Hill Road in Silver Spring (Calverton). The doors officially opened on the 65,000 square-foot market at 6 a.m. that day as the store’s 100 new employees welcomed customers. The new location replaces the Giant store .
