Date Time Firefighters douse Kialla grassfire CFA crews responded to a grassfire on Hoopers Road in Kialla at 3.18pm on 11 February. Seven CFA units from Kialla, Kialla & District, Mooroopna, Shepparton East, Arcadia and Shepparton attended the scene. Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews and air support also assisted on scene. Incident Controller and Group Officer (GO) Ray Stockwell said the fire grew to around two hectares in size and impacted one haystack, comprised of around 250 large square bales. “All the crews on scene worked really well together,” he said. “As it was in CFA’s response area, FRV handed over control of the incident seamlessly and did a great job to support on scene.” ....
MORE than 550 people have signed a petition to try to save three ancient public wells. The scheme is calling on Ribble Valley Council to acknowledge ownership of the three wells in Clitheroe and it is believed they could attract tourists to the town. Steve Burke, Secretary for the Clitheroe Town Wells Conservation Campaign Group, said: Clitheroe Civic Society and the Wells Conservation Group have jointly researched the history, geology, legal position - and future potential of the town wells. The council adopted Stock Well, near to Trinity Methodist Church, following a decision of their Community Committee in 2019. We are calling upon Ribble Valley to reconsider its position to refuse to adopt the remaining two Clitheroe Wells on Heild Well in Wellgate and St Marys Well in Well Terrace. ....
We go back to rich stockwell because apparently they do have the device. tell us what you re seeing from where you are. the bomb squad gentleman got suited up. he took, instead of the x-ray plates he took a brief case down and it lookds to me like he was working on the camera, not the device, itself. he has completed that work and now is headed back up here to the emergency services vehicle. clearly they didn t get exactly what they needed in the first trip down so he took essentially a brief case of tools, went back and made some adjustments it looks like to the camera. he did not take the two plates that he had originally taken down with him and so he is now, as you can see on the screen, back at the emergency services vehicle. interestingly, this time he did not come around behind the vehicle. he is out on the side of where ....
