9mobile Begins Activation of SIM Cards at Experience Centres Lagos, Nigeria; Thursday, April 29, 2021: Customer-friendly telecommunication company, 9mobile, today announced the recommencement of Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card activation at its Experiences Centres across Nigeria. The Operator’s move is the first by any Nigerian telco after the ban on activation of new SIM card was lifted by the Federal Government last week. Recall that the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, banned SIM cards’ activation in December 2020. Commenting on the company’s decision to start SIM activation immediately and ahead of other operators, the Chief Commercial Officer, 9mobile, Stjepan Udovicic, said it was because it remained committed to the welfare of customers. ....
