Donald W. Hoff, 85, of Tomahawk, passed away February 24, 2022, at Mt. View Care Center with his wife and brother-in-law by his side. He was under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services.  Donald was born August 5, 1936, in Lincoln County, son of the late Walter and Agnes (Woller) Hoff. Donald was baptized and confirmed by Pastor Piehler at the former Zion Lutheran Church, Town of Maine, Marathon County. Sarah J. Kastner-Warren joined the heavenly angels on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Bell Tower Residence, Merrill, under the care of her family, Compassus Hospice, and the Bell Tower Residence staff. Sarah’s recent cancer diagnosis along with her Parkinson’s was difficult on her body, but she fought hard. Sarah was born on June 13, 1934, in Hibbing, Minnesota to the late William and Elfie (Strand) Parish. She married her first husband, Frederick Kastner in 1954, he preceded her in death in 2008. Adam A. Smith, 28, of Merrill, passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, after a battle with a rare bone cancer, Osteosarcoma.  Adam was born December 20, 1993, in Wausau, son of Wally and Judy (Lohfink) Smith. He attended Northcentral Technical College, UW-Marathon, and UW-Stevens Point and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Education. Robert “Bob” Koth, 97, died peacefully at home in Merrill, Wisconsin, on December 21, 2021. He was born in a farmhouse outside of Tomahawk, Wisconsin, on August 26, 1924, the sixth boy in a family of eleven children. He was confirmed on June 9, 1940, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Tomahawk. Bob graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1942. On the 4th of July, 1943 he left home upon being drafted into the U.S. Army, joining six of his brothers, five already serving overseas, during World War II.
