post next week. and talking about on fox business as well and here, a huge buyer s remorse going on among big banks, wall street firms, obviously the chamber of commerce is part of the whole crew. is that happening? yes. they won t admit it publicly but i ve been talking lately about the biden administration, about the democrats and congress, it s over two things, number one, general against, way we left afghanistan was horrendous, horrific. it was just a humanitarian crisis on top people in the business community? they can t believe how stupid it was carried out by people who are supposed to be much more competent than the crazies that ran the trump administration. the border crisis and then you have stuff involving economics. big issues, small issues, a package of spending that is not really needed right now. the best stimulus man in the world was the vaccine that works pretty well. people going back to work. the economy is in pretty good shape. and on top of it all throw t
rich are getting richer and productivity has left us. the president was to turn around the economy, now over a thousand days later he is still talking about a stimulus man. bee looked at the first stimulus, did it work? no! to cut taxes and spending. balance the federal budget and grow our economy and jobs. our biggest domestic problem is the economy which is on life support. we ve learned some important lessons, this economy has spun out of control. we have hard decisions to make. we re not going to be able to bring our people together in america until we fix the economy. america should be a place where no matter where you come from, no matter what you look like you can make it if you try. this economy works best when it works for everybody, not just for those at the very top if
reached. that doesn t necessarily work nor benefit in a state like alaska. we are very big on curriculum making sure that kids are geared up for the trace for the resource development jobs the good of oil production jobs and commercial fishing job and mining job. it takes crime standards many places got dummied down. we are a line controller. owe barometer ma administration looked for other ways to achieve school forum. one is a national state competition called race to the top. $4.35 billion of money from last year s economic stimulus man is now up for grabs. we didn t just hand this money out to states that wanted it. we challenged them to compete for it. they said you must remove your limits on charter schools
savannah guthrie joins me now live from the white house. certainly the white house reacting to some of the numbers out there. what have we learned today? reporter: i think robert gibbs was pretty definitive maybe more than we have ever heard before that anybody who thought the administration might be cooking up some big, huge stimulus man, a la the one that passed in early twine need not think that s coming because it s not. he said it directly. it s not in the offing. on the other hand, there s an economic daily briefing going on currently right now and the administration is looking hard at a variety of options to try to goose this economy, the recovery as we all know has significantly slowed, we re expecting another what economists think will be another poor jobs report tomorrow. so the administration knows this is what s on people s mind and the question is not only is there anything they can do to really make a difference, and secondly, could they get it through even if they want
